Dwightmare 2.0

We always knew that it would be tough for the Lakers stars to mould and merge and really work together and not as individuals. It was always going to be Kobe’s team and as Kobe’s team it would be played by Kobe’s rules, which ultimately means Kobe taking 20 shots a night and running thing his way. This is something that isn’t happening with the introduction of Superstar Howard.

“Obviously, this isn’t working,” Lakers star Kobe Bryant told Yahoo! Sports after the Chicago loss.

“I’ve tried to go out of my way to get (Howard) the ball. Sometimes I end up looking like an idiot, because I get up in the air, I’ve got a shot, but I try to find him. But he thinks I’m going to shoot, so his back is turned. I’m trying to think about getting him the ball a lot — take care of him as much as I possibly can. It takes me out of rhythm a little bit, but I’m fine with that. If that’s going to help our team, I’m more than willing to do that.

Will Dwight end up at Brooklyn? Is that in the Nets best interests? After all the star team hasn’t worked for the Lakers. The trade of Shaquille O’Neal proves this. The Magic have the youth and potential without Dwight. The Lakers have an aging team of stars that are failing with Dwight.
